Large-scale Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Power In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while residents in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to drinking water, according to municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has increased strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to increase pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the United States, the EU and the G7 - in supplying protection systems and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a online statement.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were working to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from local officials.

Regional authorities said the urban area experienced intense attacks overnight. A seven-year-old child died and several individuals were wounded.

The assaults come after nights of bombing campaigns in the area, portions of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to identify.

Government officials told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

He said utility staff and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
